Now I will explain in details why I love this Lens and why I want to recommend it to all the Photographers.

All of you may have one question in your mind that why you should buy 24-105 mm f/4 lens and why not 24-70 mm f/2.8? Because 24-70 mm f/2.8 Lens is the most popular Lens and it has a wide Aperture which can perform better in low light situation. Am I right?

Well, I agree 24-70 mm f/2.8 Lens definitely has better Aperture value which can perform very good in low light situation. But in this case 24-105 mm f/4L IS II has excellently improved Image Stabilizer which can perform brilliantly at Four Stops lower Shutter Speed without any shake to compensate the low light situation. So you will not find much difference between both the lenses. Also I did not notice much difference in background blur effect in both the lenses (24-70 mm lens at f/2.8 & 24-105 mm lens at f/4 aperture value). Just one has to know how to utilize it.

Another plus point of 24-105 mm Lens is it's Focal Length up to 105 mm. I get an extra zoom of 35 mm which is very useful. It's an all purpose Lens! One can cover an entire Wedding event with just this Lens. You can click Close up Portraits, Full Length Portraits, Candid Shots, Group Photos, Wide Angle Photos, almost anything just standing in one position. You don't have to move yourself! Because by the time you find a better place to stand and frame, you may lose a very important moment to capture!

EF 24-105 mm f/4L IS II is Canon's Premium Luxury (L) Series Lens. It's a very versatile Lens with super fast focusing system and very Sharp image quality. Though it's considered to be a Kit Lens with Canon Full Frame DSLRs, but this is a favorite lens of many Professional Photographers around the Globe.

Another key factor is it's affordable price compared to 24-70 mm f2.8 Lens. In India the difference of price between both the Lenses is around 65000/- to 70000/- rupees and in abroad around 500 to 600 US$. So it is a hell lot of difference! I have saved a lot of money by purchasing 24-105 mm f/4L IS II Lens and that makes sense, right?

I want to make one thing clear that I am not against 24-70 mm f/2.8 lens. Of course, it is one of the best lenses with great sharpness & picture quality and very good low light performance. My purpose of this review is not to compare and disregard the 24-70 mm lens, but to give you some idea about a good alternative if you can not afford 24-70 mm lens.

If you are looking for great output and your budget is low, then blindly go for Canon EF 24-105 mm f/4L IS II Lens.
